WWF: 172 countries took part in this year’s Earth Hour

WWF have said that 172 countries took part in this year’s Earth Hour, with millions joining the movement to switch their lights off for one hour between 19:30 – 20:30 local time on Saturday 28th of March.

Iconic landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the London Eye, the Royal Palace in Sweden and the Sydney Opera House, joined the Earth Hour movement, with skylines in New York and Hong Kong looking almost unrecognisable with their lights dimmed.
