Cycling – Londoners: Enough is enough

Tuesday evening passionate London cyclists responding to what has been a tragic three weeks in which three Londoners have died on their bikes. An emergency cycling rally were organised by London Cycling Campaign (LCC) after a man had died on Monday morning. The rally passed through that very area outside Holborn underground station were the last victim were claimed.

Despite the short notice of the rally it saw overwhelming support and people took to Twitter to voice their anger and concern about cycle safety in London:

London Mayor Boris Johnson who was the target for many of the protesters had earlier in the year proposed an ambitious cycling plan worth almost £1 billion investment in cycling infrastructure and safety, yesterdays message from London’s cycling community was that this can’t happen fast enough.
